A DAY
The mysteries of bird migration have both delighted and perplexed
us for ages. You can help us fill some of the gaps about the migration
at the Point by sponsoring a day of research.
The Day Sponsorship program is for the Spring and Fall migration
counts at WPBO. You may sponsor any date on or between March 15th and
May 31in the Spring and/or August 15th and November 15th in the Fall.
You may sponsor a whole day or just one count. Your contribution
will pay the employees salary and the processing of their data. You
will receive a letter of thank you. Your name will be posted at the
Point, on our web site, and in the WPBO Migrant (the quarterly
newsletter of WPBO) if requested in the form below. We will also send
you a copy of the day’s counts if requested. Most importantly you will
receive the satisfaction of knowing you are helping the Observatory’s
documentation of bird migration at the Whitefish Point.
Sponsorship rates are as follows:
Day Count- $150
Hawk Count- $50
Waterbird Count- $50
Owl Banding- $65
Daily Bird Census- $25
